Introduction
In addition to the live environment of Dialog, there is also an acceptance environment, sometimes called test environment. The acceptance environment is a copy of the live Dialog environment.
This environment is just for you as the administrator, so you can test things without users being inconvenienced. It is basically a playground where you can't break anything and try out all kinds of things. So don't bring this environment to the attention of employees or managers. Then you will prevent them from accidentally working in the wrong environment.
Important to know:
- The Acceptance Environment is reset at the end of each week on Friday afternoon between 13:00 and 15:00 and a copy of the Live Environment is placed over it. All data entered into the Acceptance environment during the current week will then disappear.
- The Acceptance environment is a 'static' environment based on how Dialog is set up at the time the environment is reset on Friday afternoon. So if you change something in the live environment on Wednesday, you will not see it in the validation environment until it is reset on Friday afternoon.
How do you notice you are in the Acceptance Environment?
After you log into the acceptance environment, an orange bar will appear at the top of your screen indicating that you are in the acceptance environment and that it also resets every Friday between 1pm and 3pm.
