What are the different types of steps you can add to your goal?

When you create a goal, you can make your goal measurable by dividing it into smaller steps. When doing this, you can choose between different types of progress scales or steps. You can choose between an action, percentage, number, amount, or training. In this article, we explain the difference between these different types of steps.

 

Action

You can choose to make your goal measurable by dividing it into several actions.  

When reflecting on your goal, you can check this box when you have completed the action.

Percentage

Another option is to make your step measurable by means of percentages. When you choose this option, dynamic scale functionality appears beneath the step. 

When you reflect on this goal, you can indicate how far you are in completing this step by moving the button. When you have completed the step, you can move the button to 100% and then check the box in front of the step.

Number

You can also measure your step by attaching a number to your step. Then you can fill in the total number that you have to reach in order for you to complete this step. When you choose this option, a dynamic scale functionality appears beneath the step. 

When you reflect on this goal, you can indicate how many of the total number you have already completed. When you have reached the total number, and thus completed the step, you can move the button completely to the right and check the box in front of the step.

Amount

Furthermore, you can make your step measurable by attaching a monetary amount to your step. When you choose this option you can fill in the total amount that you want to reach in order for you to complete this step. When you choose this option, a dynamic scale functionality appears beneath the step. 

When you reflect on your goal, you can indicate what amount you have already reached. When you have reached the total amount, and thus completed the step, you can move the button completely to the right and check the box in front of the step. 

Training

Finally, you can follow a training or course as part of reaching your goal. Then, you can choose the option 'training' for this step. 

When you have completed the training or course, you can check the box in front of this step to complete it.
