Manual for an integration with Cobra (SD Worx)

This manual contains all the information you need to set up a Cobra integration with Dialog. As you work through this guide, you will collect data. In the final step, you will fill in this data in a table and which you can send to your contact person from Dialog.

Please note: for this integration, the organisation must have subscribed to the Cobra API service. This is an additional Cobra module for which extra charges apply.

Step 1 - Cobra API

Go to the Cobra admin menu, then to ‘Cobra Services’ and search for the Cobra API service.

Step 2 - Save API URL

Go to the Roles tab. Copy the API URL and add it to the table in step 6 of this guide.

Stap 3 - Add the API client

  • Click on Add Cobra API client.
  • In the ‘Client display name’ field, enter: Dialog
  • You may leave the start and end date fields empty.
  • Click the Generate client secret button
  • On the screen, you will now see the Client Identifier (username) and a Client Secret (password). Use the copy buttons to copy these and enter them into the table in step 6.

Please note: for privacy reasons, the Client Secret displayed on the screen is NOT saved. So don’t forget to copy it before clicking Save.
NB: the Client Identifier will still be visible after saving.

Step 4 - Enable Endpoints

Now authorize the following Endpoints:

  • Department - GET
  • Function - GET
  • Person - GET
    • Expand op EmailAddresses, CurrentEmployments
  • DocumentGroup - GET
  • Person Document - POST

Click on Save.

Step 5 - Upload reviews (optional)

Dialog can upload completed reviews from the platform to the employees dossier in Cobra. To do this, create a Document Group in Cobra and activate it.
Enter the name/type of the Document Group you have created in the table in step 6.

Step 6 - Share data

You will have collected data whilst following this guide. Enter this data in the table below and send this information to your contact person from Dialog.
