How do I create fixed goals?

You can define fixed goals per function. This means that this goal is created by default for an employee with the job to which the fixed goal is linked. This article shows you how to create and link fixed goals to a position.

Note: once you generate a fixed goal, it cannot be reversed. Every night, new fixed goals are generated automatically. All employees who have a job with fixed goals will get them in their goals overview at that time.

Follow the steps below to create fixed goals:

1. Click on 'Management'

2. Click on 'Fixed goals' ((Don't see an option to create fixed goals? If so, please contact support@dialog.nl and we will gladly enable this functionality for you)

3. Click on '+ New fixed goal'

4. Name the fixed goal

5. Select the goal type

6. Provide a description of the fixed goal (this is optional)

7. Select the start date: from this date the permanent goal will be created for (new) employees

8. Choose an end date: from this date the fixed goal will no longer be created for (new) employees (this is optional)

9. Select a Rating, this rating will appear during the evaluation if the goals are part of the evaluation form (this is optional)

10. Select the specific position(s) to which this fixed goal applies

11. Click 'Save'

Generating fixed goals

Once you have created the goals, they do not immediately appear in the employee’s personal plan. The goals must first be generated. There are two options for this: (1) manual generation and (2) automatic daily sync.

Manual generation
Generating a fixed target manually is very straightforward. Follow these steps to do so:
1. Click on the three dots
2. Click on ‘Generate’

The fixed goals is now visible in the personal plans of the selected group of employees.

Automatic daily generation
When a new employee joins the company who is also required to be assigned a specific fixed target, this is implemented during the nightly synchronisation. Every night, the system checks whether there are any new employees or new fixed targets that need to be added.
